POLISHING SILVER
Seems like I heard that toothpaste is also good for polishing silver. Don't know where I heard
it, but I tried it and it worked really well. MM Charyn
Lay all of the silver in a plastic tub with hot water, put some laundry soap in it and then a piece
of tin foil, shiny side down. Everything will be sparkling in a matter
of minutes! To keep the tarnish away, wrap the pieces in saran wrap. Sure beats having to
polish, no matter how easy the polishing is!! MM Sophia
I think the silver needs to be touching the foil. Lay the silver on top of the foil in a container
where all of it can be laid flat in a layer, and then put the baking soda in, and then pour boiling
hot water on it. It will smell sulphery- I think that's a part of the chemical reaction that cleans
it. MM Dahlila
DRYING UP YOUR MILK
Did any of you put cabbage in your bra to dry up your milk. I just remembered that I did that with the twins - I don't know where I
got that advice but what a flashback. I remember it being in my bra and how cool it felt in the beginning and then how warm and
wilted it was when I took it out - GROSS! Not sure if it really worked though... MM Tonja
This section is all about all the things"you heard" worked in the rearin' of chill'rn.
Most are based on things our Mommas told us that their Mommas told them.
Many of these things do work but alot of the reasoning and rationale for them
have been long forgotten.
CONSTIPATION in BABIES
1 or 2 tablespoons of Karo Syrup mixed in 8 oz of water. It actually helps the lower intestines retain moisture and your baby's
bowels will move regularly. MM Sylvia
