This group was created by Mocha Mom members from the San Fernando Valley Chapter
who want to share recipes and cooking advice with one another. We are open to ANY

Some of us are trying to make our time in the kitchen stress free, others of us are simply

Mocha Book Club
Inspired by the life of Octavia Butler, an amazing African-American science-fiction/fantasy
author, the Mocha Book Club came together to read her first novel, Kindred.
The purpose of the group is to get moms reading and talking about literature again. We
also hope to read books that we may not have picked up on our own.
All are welcome.
We discuss books on our yahoo board and at monthly club meetings. Books are
selected by the members through a vote.

African Heritage Children's Book Club
The goal of our book club is to increase our children's knowledge of and give them
exposure to books written by, illustrated by, and/or about Africans and African-Americans.
Hopefully with building a knowledge base we can help our children build a sense of pride
in their culture and heritage.
Above all our goal is for our children to ENJOY, ENJOY, and ENJOY this wonderful
literature.

Mocha Preschoolers
This group is for the members of Mocha Moms with children ages 1 to 3 years! It's
established by the members of the SFV, California chapter, but open to any Mocha Mom
anywhere!

school, homeschooling and/or playdates? How are you coping? Our little angels are now
full of their own personality and some days it's cute....and some days it AIN'T !
